Step one was enlisting the help of the North Carolina Division of Transportation. We supplied the culvert, they installed it to their specifications.

Next, we wanted to build a road that would allow us to access the property with vehicles and equipment. It wasn't all rainbows and lollipops as it required hours of drilling rocks with a jackhammer.

Since we are on the side of a hill, significant grading had to occur to build the road.

Three inch rock was used as a base and road bond gravel for the top.

Since this is a "manufactured home park" there are more regulations that need to be adhered to than an RV park. In this case, the road surface needs to be twelve foot wide with two foot shoulders (graveled or non-graveled) on either side. Additionally, the road needs to have a thirty foot right of way.
